OUR ANNUAL CPR certification course was held on Wednesday, September 20th 2017. We would like to thank our wonderful instructors at Lifesaver 101 for their time.
Why Should You Learn CPR?
CPR is so important and is an invaluable skill. A CPR course helps stimulate the heart and blood flow, increasing the chances of survival until help arrives.
Save A Loved One
Although we don't like to think about it, up to 80% of heart attacks occur at home. This means that there's a chance your CPR training may be used to help a loved one.
Heart Disease Is Responsible For Over One-Quarter Of All Deaths In Canada
According to heartandstroke.ca, in 1952, cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke) was responsible for 46% of all deaths in Canada. Today, cardiovascular disease still accounts for more than 27% of all deaths in Canada each year — more than 66,000 deaths.
Feel Confident In An Emergency
The American Heart Association reports that 70% of Americans feel helpless to act in the event of a cardiac emergency because they either do not know how to effectively administer CPR or their training has lapsed.
Consider Yourself Part Of The 3%
Each year less than 3% of the U.S. population receives CPR training, leaving many bystanders unprepared to respond to cardiac arrest.
Meet New People and Learn Something New
A certification course is an excellent opportunity to meet new people and learn some incredible knowledge.
